In the mid 19th C. watch chains often called "Albert chains" after the Prince, were used to affix a pocket watch to a man's waistcoat. On one end a T-bar was hooked into a vest buttonhole with the desired length of chain allowing the watch to be accessed from the pocket.
Designers' Details
We made this spike cuff using the T-bar taken from an antique albert chain and think it has a modern, edgy feel.
